About Lynn Herbert & Co.

Lynn Herbert & Co. was founded in 1994 by Lynn Herbert who had previously practised in Leven since she qualified in 1981. Since then the firm has grown steadily and Lynn has the support of her Associate, Margo Hopton, and experienced secretarial and administrative staff.

We are a modern legal practice providing a full range of legal services to the local community. We pride ourselves in providing a friendly, personal, and efficient service to all our clients.

Lynn Herbert

Lynn Herbert was born and brought up in Glasgow. She graduated from Glasgow University and then served her apprenticeship with a Glasgow firm before moving to Fife. Lynn deals principally with Court work, including Family Law, accident claims, Criminal Law, insurance claims, employment advice and debt actions. She is a Notary Public and a member of the Family Law Association. Lynn serves on the Duty Solicitor rota in Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court. She is married with two children.

 

Margo Hopton

Margo Hopton

Originally from the mining village of Kinglassie in Fife and now living in Glenrothes, Margo Hopton graduated from Edinburgh University in 1988. Thereafter, she gained experience in private practice with the West Fife firm of Johnston & Herron before joining Lynn Herbert & Co in October 2001. Margo has been qualified as a solicitor since 1990 and has experience in conveyancing, wills and executries, matrimonial and separation advice, and accident claims. She is also a notary public.
